The Glory Block finally makes its comeback!
Designed and handmade by Katha in 2011 it was first shown at the 2012 SH!T Hessens #3 fingerboard contest in Wiesbaden, Germany.
Original design from back in the days combined with an upgraded material.
Super smooth surface, additional built-in reinforcement to limit damages and a new range of colors.
The Glory Block combines an up-curb with a bank on one side and a quarter on the other side. It seems to be a pretty straight forward obstacle on the first look but the angles along the bank and the radius on the quarter change with the height of the curb. Meaning, a trick can feel completely different from one end of the ramp to the other. If you think it’s impossible to land the trick you have in mind just try to hit the quarter or the bank in a different spot and see happens. Endless possibilities guaranteed!

What is SH!T Hessens?
It’s the name of a fingerboard crew from Hessen, a state in the center of Germany. The name is a wordplay on the saying ’sh*t happens’ because there was always something crazy, stupid but yet funny and memorable happening when the crew traveled together. The crew was founded in 2008 and consists of Esche, Nina P., Burgo, Marc S. and me Katha from FBS. Between 2009 and 2012 we also organized local fingerboard events under the same name, which we hope to be able to bring back to the community as well.
The ramp is untreated to leave it up to you how smooth or rough you want the curb to be. It is recommended to wax the curb to keep it smooth. Apply a thin layer of skate wax when you feel like the curb is getting too rough for your taste.
